Missy Snyder discovered her passion for teaching while working as a library secretary. She pursued her dream of becoming a teacher, graduating from Penn State University in 2014 with her Bachelor of Elementary Education Degree. After graduating, her family moved to Millsboro, Delaware. She was hired at Major George Welch Elementary School in the Caesar Rodney School District, Dover, Delaware. Missy received her Master of Education Degree in Applied Technology in Education from Wilmington University in 2018. She was recently selected as a 2022 state/jurisdiction-level finalist for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. Missy now works for the Cape Henlopen School District as a K-2 Specialized Setting Teacher at Lewes Elementary.
